MANHATTAN SHARE-A-DAY

A.A.’s Three Legacies: Our Common Solution

A share-a-day is a day full of "speaker" and "panel" meetings led by fellows all over Manhattan that are focused on a broad theme. The event is open to all AAs and non-AAs.  Come for as little or as long as you like to bask in experience, strength, hope, and serenity.

This is a huge event and requires a large number of folks doing service to make it run.  Service positions exist for fellows with any amount of sobriety time.  Share-a-day service is a fantastic way for your group members to participate in their sobriety below the group level.

OPEN CHAIR POSITIONS:

Publicity Chair - Responsible for creating flyers in English and Spanish (translation assistance available) with the Manhattan Share-A-Day theme and for printing approximately 1000 flyers for distribution at meetings, websites, events, etc.

Child Care Chair - Responsible for setting up a room with toys (we have toys), recruiting volunteers to assist, supervising children, and making name tags for children and volunteers

Clean Up Chair - Responsible for helping clean up hospitality and common areas, checking that rooms and spaces used are cleaned up, recruiting volunteers

We will also need approximately 50 volunteers to help with the operations and facilitation of the day’s events (including the tasks listed above). Service keeps you sober and many hands make light work!!
